If Ivana is going to be the tallest high rise project in Las Vegas then Las Ramblas will be the biggest. Eleven Towers are planned to stretch over 20 acres along with waterfalls, bungalows, pools, cabanas and Las Vegas first, open air pedestrian promenade mimicking the famous La Rambla Boulevard in Barcelona, Spain. Not just one developer is getting in on this one either, Related and Centra Properties are teaming up and rumor has it Trump may even join in. As if that weren’t enough, it is said all this is the brainchild of George Clooney and Rande Gerber. The latest buzz is that not only are these actors and developers getting involved but more are going to be invited to jump in including one of Clooney’s good friends Brad Pitt.

When completed Las Ramblas will contain more then 4,400 hotel, condo and condo-hotel units in 11 high-rise buildings, comprising nearly 8 million square feet. It will include 300 hotel units, 2,764 condo units, 1,326 condo-hotel units and 19 bungalows. The open air pedestrian boulevard, modeled after the project's namesake in Spain will feature broad paths for strolling, as well as areas for outdoor eating and lounging. Extensive landscaping and a lively offering of retailers, restaurants, bars and lounges will entice visitors and residents.

Set to ground break in mid-2006 and completion of the first four towers planned for 2008. "I don't know that I will make a dime on any of this. I could lose my shirt," Clooney said about Las Ramblas to the Times. "But it will be a big adventure." If Las Ramblas does make it big it will serve as Clooney’s and Gerber’s personal Vegas hang out.
